Kelapa Island Residents Appreciated Jalan Lingkar Selatan Arrangement

Residents of Kelapa Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Island Sub-district, appreciated the arrangement of Jalan Lingkar Selatan.

Darsa, resident of RW 04, Kelapa Island Urban Village, admitted happy and appreciated the arrangement. It makes the environment cleaner and more beautiful.

"Now the area looks better, cleaner, and tidier," he said, Tuesday (10/8).

According to him, the area is often visited by residents especially in the afternoon. The newly constructed monument becomes favorite spot for taking selfie.

"Hopefully it will attract more visitors to come," he added.

Meanwhile, Kelapa Island Urban Village, Muslim, admitted the area is chosen since the location is near with urban village office and residential.

"We created mural, constructed monument as Kelapa Island icon to attract more visitors," he admitted.

The arrangement, he added, was run in July to September 2024 along 60 meter with six meter width.

10 PPSU and 10 Blue Taskforce personnel were deployed everyday.

"10 Orange Taskforce personnel were also deployed to make mural," he stated.

He hoped the local residents maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the area by preventing illegal parking and street vendors.
